Intersectional Gender Studies for Parents
We are excited to offer a new class, and this time for parents of LGBTQIA+ kids! This virtual course is an intersectional Gender Studies course that will introduce parents to literature and information/terms/concepts/ that they can then share with their kids or even other families members if they choose. This class will meet eight times, every other week (except during holidays) to discuss a new book. Some light writing will be expected--reflections on the books just to have during class discussions. The course is led by City Kids founder, Dr. Stacey Cohen.
When: Wednesdays, 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. (on Zoom)
Dates: Oct. 2, 16, 30, Nov. 13, Dec. 4, 18, Jan 8, 22
In order to join the class, participants:
-Must have at least one LGBTQIA+ child.
-Be able to join Zoom.
-Be willing to have their camera on.
-Be able to commit to the classes and do the reading.
-Be respectful of the class and all of the participants.
