Conservation is for Kids!

This past week our kids met at a local conservation station to learn about water pollution and protection. A member of the EPA met us at the station and talked to the kids about how D.C. gets it water, how it becomes polluted, the effects of pollution, and what measures can be taken to keep the water clean. The kids also learned how to assess water quality by measuring turbidity. It was a success, especially because no one fell in the river! :)
